It all started in January 2015, when the two brand ambassadors of, Giordano, crossed paths for a photo shoot, there on the set, Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah felt an immediate attraction for one another, that was palpable enough for everyone at the set to notice it. The chemistry between them was instant, Woo Bin was smiling and laughing to his heart's content with Min Ah. Notably, both of them started their careers as a model– naturally, this brought them closer.
2015– the year marked their first love because by July various media outlets and reports dropped the news that, Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah were indeed in a romantic relationship, and kept the news under the rugs because of their busy fan meeting events, and when the BTS of the photoshoot was released fans were ecstatic seeing their refreshing chemistry. Since then the couple has always maintained a low profile regarding their love life, as they value privacy.
However, Shin Min Ah decided to a be little playful and made Kim Woo Bin emotional, as she sent a food truck in March 2016, while he was working for the drama, “Uncontrollably Fond”. The gesture was so sweet that everyone on the set and crew members felt a little jealous by witnessing such pure love right in front of their eyes.
While everything was going on smoothly, life decided to throw a little test and slowed down their journey because, in 2017, heart-dropping news plagued Kim Woo Bin’s mind, when the doctors revealed that he had 6 months to live, as he had been diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer. There’s a little background detail that before being faced with terrible news, actor Lee Byung Hun was the first one to tell Woo Bin that something was wrong with his internal health, and should get a thorough checkup, as he saw Woo Bin’s nosebleed during a drinking party.
Listening to his senior's advice he did a thorough check-up only to get the results that, he was diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal Cancer, but thankfully it was within the early stages and he immediately started his treatment but things got a bit dark when the initial statement was given to Woo Bin had 6 months left in this world, it's as if those Kdrama moments where doctors dramatize the news. He received plenty of radiotherapy and chemotherapies which wasn't easy at all as it was painful to the point his whole body would ache but luckily he wasn't alone in that journey. He was accompanied by his loved ones, especially Shin Min Ah. She supported him to the point that, during every chemotherapy session, Min Ah stayed by his side, gave him strength, and showered him with affection. While everyone believed that Woo Bin’s cancer would have been the end of their relationship, it was the opposite as their love deepened and Shin Min Ah stayed loyal to her words and supported Woo Bin through all the ups and downs, now that's real love and dedication.
After Woo Bin’s recovery in 2019, the two went to Australia for a relaxing vacation and to improve Kim Woo Bin’s mental and physical state. The two were seen in a warm cozy embrace, holding hands together and sharing meals at restaurants, and street cafes. They even uploaded pictures on Instagram.
By 2020, Woo Bin made a drastic change in his career and to prove his love, gratefulness, and loyalty to Shin Min Ah, he decided to switch agencies and join the company Shin Min Ah works at AM ENTERTAINMENT so that they can spend more time as lovers, while focusing on their work.
Directors and writers have been in love with Shin Min Ah and Kim Woo Bin’s performance so much that they decided to pair them up in the 2022 drama, “Our Blues", Shin Min Ah was there in the drama too but they weren't each other's love interest, just stellar actors doing their respective roles nothing beyond that, but during the journey Kim Woo Bin did steal secret glances, and lingering touches with Shin Min Ah, which were overshadowed by the cast members heartwarming moments.
In 2023, Kim Woo Bin showed his support for Shin Min Ah by appearing in the VIP screening of “Our Season”, a Korean movie, where Min Ah took the lead role. Kim Woo Bin made the whole moment more special, as he appeared in all black, looking dashing and hot. He gave great fan service and clicked pictures with everyone. The couple’s love story took another beautiful turn when Shin Min Ah sent an expensive Laftel coffee truck, sending her love and support to all the crew and staff members of Officer Black Belt. Kim Woo Bin always felt shy and was just happy.
They are the epitome of loyalty and that true love never dies, rather it changes in form and becomes more mature over time and the bond between the couple has strengthened more ever since then.
